  1. Coarsely chop the entire onion and evenly spread it across the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Tear the the fatty membrane off the underside of the ribs, then chop them in to two rib segments
  3. Rub the seasoned salt or dry rub all over both sides of your ribs.
  4. Place the ribs on their side in your slow cooker on top of the onions, arranging them so that they all fit.
  5. Pour about 6oz of BBQ sauce evenly over the top.
  6. Cover and set your slow cooker on high for 5-6 hours.
  7. After 5-6 hours, use a tongs to carefully(!) remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them meat-side up on a cookie sheet. Leave the onions in the slow cooker to serve along side the ribs.
  8. Generously brush the remainder of the BBQ sauce over the top of the ribs.
  9. Place under the broiler in your oven for 5-10 minutes, until the BBQ sauce beings to caramelize.
  10. Enjoy your fall-off-the-bone ribs! They go great with baked beans, potato salad, mashed potatoes, and/or coleslaw.
